Maggie and Tyler's Engagement Session on Sauvie Island {Portland wedding photographer}
I met Maggie a year and half ago and got to know her a bit better this past summer while I was working as house photographer at Topaz Farm capturing their summer music series. While it was always super busy Thursday evenings, she always had smiles and kind words. I met Tyler briefly, and I mean briefly at the farm one night, as he brought his horse and the kiddos absolutely mobbed him! I’m pretty sure a little girl shoved me out of the way to pet the horse, all good kiddo, I wanted to pet the horsey too!
I was absolutely thrilled when she asked if I can photograph her wedding next year and I immediately jumped at the opportunity! Catch me in Palm Springs in February y’all!
Last week we took advantage of one of last remaining clear evenings and I headed up to Sauvie Island for their engagement session. Since every location is still so new to me, I love the adventure of quickly scouting a new location, seeing light and composition quickly, all while making my new clients feel comfortable not only with me (although you all know I can be just a giant dork!), but making the process of having their portrait taken easy and fun, or at least less nerve wracking.
Willow Bar is stunning!!! Oh my goodness! We found a little sliver of sun peeping through the tall trees, made quick use of it and moved along the beach. Oh goodness, I’m really loving the quintessential PNW river shorelines, the glorious fallen logs, the tall pine trees mixed in with trees with golden leaves, ah just made my fall loving heart sing!
Please, let’s do more of these!!!
Love love LOVE the results from Maggie and Tyler’s engagement session, and I can’t wait for the rustic Palm Springs wedding next year!
